Student Management Plans provide tailored strategies to support students with behavioural, attendance, or medical needs. These plans are developed in collaboration with families, and both the class teacher and Deputy Principals are actively involved in their implementation to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.

Our School Wellbeing Officer supports groups of students to develop social-emotional skills, resilience, and positive relationships. This work is complemented by the presence of our Therapy Dog, who helps create a calming and supportive environment for students requiring emotional reassurance.

We facilitate referrals to external agencies such as the Child Development Service and schools specialising in sensory, behaviour, and disability support. These partnerships ensure that students have access to targeted interventions beyond what the school can provide alone

Qualified external therapists, including speech and occupational therapists, are welcomed to work directly with students on our school site. This access supports early intervention and consistent progress by reducing the barriers to accessing therapy. We work with them so that they can further support students to engage in the classroom.

Our School Psychologist works closely with the school leadership team by conducting observations, attending case conferences, and providing expert input. They support the development of appropriate strategies for individual students and assist in making referrals to external agencies where needed. Please note, our school Psychologist does not work directly with individual students or in private 1:1 sessions.

Language Support (EALD)
We provide extensive support for students who speak a language other than English at home. Our EALD (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) program includes targeted classroom-based strategies and additional support sessions to help students develop proficiency in Standard Australian English. This ensures they can access the curriculum confidently and engage fully in school life. Please see this document for more information.
